See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Re-opened after renovation by new owners in Autumn 2019, the pub was built in 1882 opposite the original site of Polegate station, a traditional Victorian building. It features a central bar with two handpumps and two partitioned bare boarded rooms, furnished with tables suitable for dining and with unobtrusive decor reflecting its original railway connections. Unisex toilets, including baby changing facilities, are decorated with Giles cartoons. There is an outside patio area with seating at the front of the pub. The buses shown pass the front door, other bus routes pass Polegate centre and station, 500m away.
