Rebuilt in 1885 following a fire, this quirky but friendly, no-frills, traditional village pub has a regionally important historic pub interior identified by CAMRA because of the back bar fittings, ceramic spirit casks and panelled counter. Although the pub is free of tie, cask beers are all from Harvey’s of Lewes and are excellently kept. Apart from the usual crisps, nuts, etc., a choice of hot pies is usually always available. Card payments are accepted, but cash is preferred.
