Green Man Ale & Cider House17 South Street
See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
This former cafe opened as Worthing's third Micropub in 2016 and has quickly built an enthusiastic local following. Offering typically 5 gravity dispensed real ales (one of which is usually a dark ale) and 8 draft ciders, the drinks menu has recently expanded to include a range of interesting gins and a quality whisky in addition to a selection of European wine. The temperature controlled cellar, featuring an original stained glass window, is central to the main drinking area which is simply furnished with mainly high level tables/benches plus a couple of 'comfy armchairs' as an option. The lay-out is intended to promote conversation and in this, it generally succeeds. Branch Pub of the Year and Cider Pub of the Year 2018 and 2019 The whole is well served by natural light due to it's mainly glazed corner position and this in turn offers interesting street views including a wide range of driving techniques which form the subject of much debate among the patrons. Branch Pub of the Year and Cider Pub of the Year 2018 and 2019 Cash payment only
