MARCH 2024 UPDATE NOW OPEN IN NEW LOCATION, MONTAGUE PLACE BN11 3BG. SEE NEW ENTRY IN WHATPUB. The first micropub in Worthing (and in Sussex) opened on Friday 23rd August 2013, offering a regularly changing selection of ales from Sussex brewers. Ales served from cool room at rear of the pub. The pub also sells Sussex ciders, wines and gin, most of the soft drinks and even the crisps are from local producers. Small wooden anchors hang from the ceiling. Refurbished during 2020 lockdown including new windows and glass panel showing previously hidden "Bungaroosh" wall. Quiz nights are held on final Thursday of each month, see website for details. At lunchtimes, food can be purchased from the café next door. Among the eclectic range of furniture in this cosy bar, is a seat from a B17 bomber. Although closed Mondays, usually open on Bank holiday Mondays. Both card and cash payment accepted.
